IBC: Intermediate Bulk Carrier. These are normally used for transporting a variety of liquids being strong and easily stored and moved.
Drinking Water Services are able to provide IBC's that have only been used for clean drinking water.
The outlet can be fitted with a variety of taps.
These are ideal for use as an inexpensive static water source remote from the water mains. A range of IBCs can be located around a venue such as a concert or show, the units then being refilled from a tanker doing a routine sequence of fills during the day.
Water can be supplied from South East Water's boreholes which abstract from the chalk or greensand aquifers, high quality natural sources of spring water. Alternative supplies of softwater or mains treated water can also be delivered.
